Ziad Mougharbel

Mr. Ziad Mougharbel is a full-time clinical instructor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH), A. T. Still University (ATSU), in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Mougharbel`s responsibilities include supervising students on clinical procedures for soft tissue exams and nonsurgical periodontal procedures. He has taught continuing education courses on diode laser safety for his office and served as the office`s dental Spanish translator. Mr. Mougharbel is a strong advocate for the Latino community in achieving better access to dental care. As a first-generation Mexican-American, he has experienced barriers to care in his community. Experiencing this disparity has given him a passion for dental care and education. His long-term goals are to implement more fluoride and sealant programs in underserved schools. As well promote continuing education by creating a course on dental terminology in Spanish. In his free time, Mr. Mougharbel enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, running, and hiking the desert landscape.
