Second Generation Bio-ceramics in Endodontics:

MTA was first generation bio-ceramics. Now 2nd generation bio-ceramics are better suited for sealing capabilities while providing better aesthetics and long term success. How they improve periodontal seals and the use of the product endo surgically will be covered in this session.

Gus Khalifa, DDS

Gus Khalifa, DDS, received his Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in History while attending LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Thereafter, he received his Masters of Science in Immunology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During that time he focused on discovering viral causes for the onset of multiple sclerosis. After completion of his Masters of Science, Dr. Khalifa attended Columbia University School of Dentistry in New York City. While attending his residency, Dr. Khalifa successfully completed training in Emergency Medicine, Oral Surgery, Plastic surgery and Internal Medicine as well as General Hospital Based Dentistry.
